Stephens High Student Receives West Point Offer

WASHINGTON—A.J. Howard has been offered admission to the United States Military Academy Preparatory School at West Point. The Stephens High School student is the son of Mr. Avero Howard and Ms. Uganda Burton and is the captain of his school’s football team.

“A.J. has shown commitment to his goals and strong leadership abilities during his high school career. As a conscientious student and JROTC Senior Leader, A.J. stands as an example of academic and athletic achievement.

“It was my honor to nominate him for the military academy and to hear the good news of his West Point offer. I have no doubt that A.J. will make our northeast Georgia community proud,” said Congressman Doug Collins.
