WASHINGTON—A pair of students from North Forsyth High School have been offered full admission to the United States Naval Academy. Brian Garcia, son of Augstin and Juana Garcia, and Shaun Herock, son of Mia and Shaun Herock, will be part of the Academy’s class of 2021.

Garcia is enrolled in AP courses and serves as Commander of his ROTC unit, and Herock is a Scholar Athlete who plays football and lacrosse at North Forsyth. Congressman Doug Collins nominated these students to the United States military academies because of their strong character and track record of accomplishment in the community.

“Northeast Georgia continues to produce some of the finest young men and women in the country, and it’s an honor for me to support these students as they seek to attend the Naval Academy in Annapolis. Shaun and Brian have demonstrated leadership at North Forsyth and are working to become leaders who serve in our nation’s military. I look forward to their success at the Naval Academy,” said Congressman Collins.
