Collins Announces 2016 Congressional Art Competition
WASHINGTON– Today, Congressman Collins announced the 2016 Congressional Art Competition. Open to high school students in grades 9-12, each student may submit one piece of art for consideration. Submissions are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 15, 2016, and the winner will be announced at a reception at Congressman Collins’ Gainesville office on May 6, 2016. The winning selection will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year, for visitors from all around the country to admire.
“This is a great opportunity for young artists from Northeast Georgia to showcase their talents,” said Congressman Collins. “In the years past, we have seen wonderful photographs, paintings, and drawings from all around the district, and I look forward to seeing all of the inspiring works in this year’s submissions!”
