Collins Statement on Speaker Paul Ryan's Announcement

Apr 11, 2018

WASHINGTON—Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference Doug Collins (R-Ga.) released the following statement in response to Speaker Paul Ryan's announcement that he will retire at the end of the 115th Congress:

"In a town that can be both cynical and self-centered, today I witnessed my friend Paul Ryan not only talk about values but live them out. I want to thank the Speaker for his leadership and his friendship. He has led and will continue to lead our majority until the end of this Congress, and I look forward to working with him to complete our agenda. As he leaves the House of Representatives after 20 years, I believe we as a nation are better off for his service."
